What is Still Hall?
Still Hall is a free online space where people sit together. Walk to a cushion, bow, count 108 mala beads, tap a wooden fish or light incense for someone nearby.
There is no chat and no account. Everyone gets a random name like Quiet Pine 07. Being next to others is the whole point, the way a library or a temple feels calmer than an empty room.
Set a timer for your own sit, or join a group sit led by a meditation center or yoga studio. When a hall reaches 50 people a new one opens, and you are seated in the fullest hall that still has room.

Questions
Why are there 108 beads?
A traditional mala has 108 beads. One round is one full pass of the ring, and many people use it to count breaths or repetitions of a short phrase.
Where does my "let go" text go?
Nowhere. It never leaves your device. When you let go, the words fade out and are erased. Other people only see a paper lantern rise from your cushion.
Is this a religious service?
No. Still Hall borrows the calm of a temple, but it offers no blessings and is not run by any religious group. Anyone is welcome to sit.
Can I talk to other people?
Only through gestures: greet, bow and sharing incense. Leaving out chat keeps the hall calm and free of spam.
Can my studio host a group sit here?
Yes. Hosts ring the bell, start a timer for everyone and turn on the breathing guide. Studios can also have a private hall. See For studios and teams.
